Carly Fiorina Will Speak at Providence College

Dec. 4, 2017, Providence, RI – Carly Fiorina, a 2016 Republican Presidential candidate and the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), will give a talk at Providence College on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Her lecture will serve as this academic year’s Fiondella Lecture and as the annual Providence College School of Business Dean’s Symposium presentation.

Providence College Ranked 10th in the US for Semester-Long Study Abroad

Nov. 16, 2017, Providence, RI – Providence College (PC) was recently ranked 10th in the United States for semester-long study abroad in the category of Master's Colleges and Universities. The designation was released in the annual "Open Doors" report conducted by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and covers the 2015-16 academic year, the latest year reported.

Providence College Professor Awarded National Science Foundation Grant

Providence, R.I. – September 20, 2017 – Providence College today announced that Dr. Jonathan Richardson, assistant professor of biology, has received a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for $125,310. With this grant, Richardson and an undergraduate student will spend time studying urban ecology and landscape genetics in rats.

Providence College Completes Most Successful Comprehensive Campaign in its History

Providence, R.I. – September 18, 2017 – Providence College (PC) today announced the completion of the most successful fund-raising campaign in the College's 100-year history. Our Moment: The Next Century Campaign for Providence College, concluded this past weekend with a celebration on the PC campus that included trustees, students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and friends. At the main event on Saturday evening, the College announced it has raised $185 million, over 30% more than the campaign’s original goal of $140 million when it was launched publicly in October 2014.

A Message from Fr. Shanley to the Members of the Providence College Community

Dear Members of the Providence College Community: Today, President Trump announced that he would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.  The President is calling on Congress to enact a legislative solution before the DACA program expires on March 5, 2018.  No action against anyone currently protected by the program is expected before then.

Providence College Awarded the Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, Inc.’s Jean Dreyfus Lectureship Award

Providence, R.I. – August 4, 2017 – Providence College today announced that the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, under the leadership of Dr. Seann Mulcahy and Dr. Kathleen Cornely, has received The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation, Inc.'s Jean Dreyfus Lectureship for Undergraduate Institutions award for 2017. PC is the first college in Rhode Island to receive this distinguished award.​
