PROVIDENCE COLLEGE ANNOUNCES ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT FOR NEW DIVISION OF COLLEGE EVENT MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING
(Providence, RI) – Providence College announced today the promotion of Deirdre Driscoll-Lemoine ’98G, ’19P, ’24P as associate vice president for the new Division of College Event Management and Planning, which replaced the Office of College Events effective July 1.
Driscoll-Lemoine will act as the College’s chief event protocol officer and advisor, reporting directly to the President’s Office. She will provide central leadership for campus partners who are planning large-scale and special programs on and off campus, with responsibilities for logistical oversight and assessment of events for the Offices of the President, Academic Affairs, and Institutional Advancement. Driscoll-Lemoine also will oversee Conference Services, Central Reservations, and other programs related to strategic priorities for the College.
Most recently, Driscoll-Lemoine and her team provided valuable assistance to the College’s Emergency Management team responsible for tracking and compiling data on COVID-19 testing for the community. She has served PC since 1998 in several roles, including as director of College Events within the Office of Institutional Advancement. She brings more than 25 years of professional experience in higher education, event management, and hospitality sales and administration to the position.
Driscoll-Lemoine holds a master’s degree in business administration from Providence College, a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bryant University and a professional certification in meeting planning. She and her husband, Michael Lemoine, Deputy Chief, Woonsocket Police Department, reside in Harmony, RI.
Founded in 1917, Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 4,000 students and offers degrees in 52 academic majors and 38 minors.
