PROVIDENCE COLLEGE RANKED #1 BY US NEWS & WORLD REPORT

PC retains #1 ranking in Regional Universities – North category

PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND, SEPTEMBER 14, 2020: – Providence College (PC) is again ranked #1 in US News & World Report’s annual college and universities rankings, known as “America’s Best Colleges.”  The rankings, released today, have PC at the top of the “Regional Universities – North” category with a perfect score of 100. PC is tied with Bentley University, which moved up after being ranked second last year. 

For the last decade, PC has been consistently ranked among the top five regional colleges and universities in the North by US News & World Report. This year, the rankings also list PC as #1 for “Best Undergraduate Teaching,” #10 in “Best Value Schools,” and tied for #15 in “Most Innovative Schools.”

PC’s 93% first-year retention rate was second-highest among the top ten colleges and universities in its category, and its 90% six-year graduation rate was tops among those ten schools.

Founded in 1917, Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars and has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 4,000 students.
